Quick tutorial I did for Artstation Fashion Week 2023 on how to light a scene for a digital fashion show. Being an environment artist, I toyed back and forth about building out a really fancy environment for this, but decided what I really needed to do was strip back all the fluff and focus on ONE concept: Lighting is everything. That's why I wanted to keep the environment simple and focus 100% on the concepts around lighting the character.

In this tutorial, we focus on the light setup for a catwalk with with a properly setup lighting environment at the edge where the photographers would be taking shots of the model.
