Game environment personal project. Taking inspirations from various places (such as Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls, and Prince of Persia), the biggest inspiration came from "The Nameless City" by HP Lovecraft. I imagine a palace so ancient and filled with eldritch things, guarded by an ancient magic ward that can only be dispelled via the 4 magic astrolabes that surround it. Necromancers feel a hunger for the dark magic within the palace, but the astrolabes are there to protect from the would be looters attempting to awaken an elder god.

This scene was modeled with Maya, textured in Substance Painter, and constructed in Unreal Engine 4. Megascans was used for terrain textures, rock assemblies, and debris.
